Fees

How we price financial auditing work

Fees reflect locations, accounting complexity, and the condition of prior-year files — not a menu of software tiers. Most statutory audits are quoted as a fixed fee after scoping.

Flagship

Statutory financial statement audit

From ¥2,800,000

Starting point for a single-entity Japanese company with one main warehouse, clean prior-year papers, and moderate related-party activity. Multi-site manufacturers, first-year audits, and complex revenue streams are quoted higher after we read last year’s statements and visit (or video-walk) key locations.

The fee covers planning, fieldwork, inventory observation at agreed sites within Japan, confirmations, and the signed opinion. Extraordinary travel outside the agreed plan or significant late changes to the trial balance may be billed separately with prior notice.

Internal control readiness review

From ¥780,000

Capped estimate based on the number of cycles in scope. Day rates apply if management expands the walkthrough mid-engagement.

Agreed-upon procedures

Quoted per procedure list

We price only after the lender or buyer signs off on the exact steps. Short cash and covenant tests often fall between ¥350,000 and ¥900,000; inventory-heavy lists track closer to observation day rates.

Inventory observation (stand-alone)

From ¥180,000 per site

Plus reasonable travel. When bundled into a statutory audit, site fees are usually absorbed into the overall quote rather than itemised.

What moves a quote up or down

  • Number of legal entities and consolidation packs
  • Inventory materiality and count locations
  • Quality and language of prior auditor files
  • Significant estimates (percentage of completion, allowances, valuations)
  • Timing pressure relative to filing or group reporting deadlines

These figures are informational. No payment is taken online. Engagements begin only after a signed letter and agreed billing schedule — typically staged across planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
